杨博士是香港理工大学计算机学系的项目研究员。她在四川大学计算机学院获得计算机科学博士学位,并曾在香港中文大学生物医学工程系担任博士后研究员。她的研究兴趣包括机器学习、大规模数据挖掘、医学图像分析、增强现实和医疗保健。她的研究成果发表在顶级会议 (MM) 和期刊 (TMI、TIP、BIB) 上。
近年来,她在增强现实( AR) 康复方面参与了大量工作。在新冠疫情期间,她与香港中文大学团队开发的AR系统让 300 多名中风人士(包括来自 35 家康复中心的用户和 50 多名居家用户)能够在大多数康复中心因疫情而暂停康复服务的情况下继续接受康复治疗。这项工作于 2021 年 3 月被 香港TVB 报道,并在 2021 年 12 月于新加坡举行的第九届 2021 年乐龄护理创新奖中荣获 “最佳康复项目奖”,并在 2021 年 12 月的“香港信息和通讯技术奖 2021”中荣获智慧生活(智慧医疗)“优异奖”。
